Café Assistant Manager (Full time)

We are looking for an Assistant Manager to join our friendly front of house team. We are an independent family-run café and pride ourselves on offering quality food and beverages with excellent customer service.

The Assistant Manager reports to the Café Manager and together they work towards the overall smooth day-to-day running of the café with customer satisfaction the top priority. This is a hands-on role and the successful candidate will work alongside the front of house team taking orders, serving customers and clearing tables, leading by example.

The successful candidate will need:

  • At least 4 years hospitality experience (preferably barista and food safety trained)
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written English
  • A friendly, can-do attitude
  • Strong customer service skills

This is a full-time position. The café is open 8.30am-4pm Monday-Saturday (closed Sundays). Working hours will be c. 40 hours per week, 5 days per week. Saturday working is essential.

Pay: competitive salary plus share of gratuities.

Chef de Partie (Daytime hours) Full or Part time

Rokers The Farmhouse are looking for a Chef de Partie to join our fast-paced team. We are an independent family-run café and pride ourselves on offering quality food and service.

The role involves working with the kitchen team to make sure daily and weekly prep is completed, cooking from scratch with fresh ingredients and maintaining kitchen hygiene and safety systems. We are a small team and chefs work across all areas of the kitchen.

As the successful Chef de Partie you will:

  • Have a genuine passion for food and consistently high standards;
  • Be a strong team-player and able to follow instructions;
  • Have a great work ethic and ability to work in a fast-paced environment;
  • Show willingness to learn new skills;
  • Be able to build a good rapport with the kitchen team and front of house staff.

 

Some kitchen experience is essential. On-the-job training will be provided by our Head Chef.

Full-time or part-time hours are available. Full time hours are 35 hours/week during the hours of 8am-4pm Tuesday-Saturday. We could accommodate someone looking to work within school hours; however, Saturday working is essential.

Shop Assistant - Animal Feeds

Job description

Rokers is a fast-paced, fast-growing business specialising in animal feeds retail. We are looking for a friendly and energetic person to join the team.

Key responsibilities and accountabilities include:

  • Working with the shop team to ensure the smooth day to day running of the shop
  • Offering a very high standard of customer service at all times
  • Serving customers on the till
  • Maintaining a strong level knowledge of products, promotions and offers
  • Answering customer queries and providing advice on products
  • Keeping the shop and surrounding areas clean and presentable at all times
  • Restocking shelves, rotating and pricing all stock
  • Assisting customers with their purchases including offering them help to their vehicles
  • Any other duties within the reasonable remit of a Shop Assistant as requested by Management

Skills and experience required:

  • Minimum 1 year of customer service experience
  • Great customer service skills
  • A proactive can-do attitude
  • Good attention to detail
  • Strong team player
  • Pet Industry experience would be an advantage

Includes weekday and weekend work, 45 hours per week.

The role will involve spending most of the time on your feet and requires lifting.
