Although Bloodworm is a fishmeal-based bait, the combination of LT94, milk proteins, soluble fish proteins, crustacean extracts, blood plasma and Robin Red make it suitable for year-round use. The mix contains fast and slow release energy sources, as well as vitamins and minerals to make sure it is as good for the fish as possible. The finished bait is subtle in smell, yet highly attractive, and sports a deep, rich red colour. Our shelf life baits are all as close to the freezer bait versions as possible, with the only difference being the addition of a natural preservative. Although we swear by our Liquid Food and Glug ranges, they aren’t ideal for soaking hookbaits for prolonged periods of time, as their dense nature can dramatically affect the buoyancy of a pop-up or wafter and render your rig mechanics useless. Bait Sprays are a much lighter alternative, that easily absorb into your chosen hookbait, yet still pack the same punch as their thicker counterparts – simply grab a tub of hookbaits and give them a couple of sprays to seriously boost their attraction!

Designed to replicate The Krill Active Boilies, these toughened bottom baits have been made using the same base-mix as the normal bottom baits, but with the inclusion of extra binders. This creates a much tougher alternative to using the freebies on the hair, yet maintains that all important match the hatch appearance. The external, super-soluble coating is made up of over twenty different ingredients, which matches the coating on the Krill Active Freezer and Shelf Life baits perfectly. Once submerged in water, the coating starts to work its magic and breaks down into a halo of attraction around the ultra-tough hookbait at the core.

Designed to replicate The Krill Active Boilies, these Krill Active Wafters are made using the same base mix, with a highly soluble, Active paste wrap. For these hookbaits to work perfectly, the coating itself contains an element of buoyancy to help maintain a perfect presentation throughout the breakdown process. As the super-soluble coating breaks down, it slowly settles into a halo of attraction on the lakebed surrounding the wafter at the inner core. After several years, we have finally created the ultimate Active Pop-Up! Krill Active Pop-Ups feature a fluffy, light outer-coating, which has a neutral buoyancy. This means your pop-ups can be counterbalanced perfectly prior to casting out and you can rest assured your hookbait is sitting perfectly for days if necessary! Once submersed the outer coating breaks away and flutters slowly down to the lakebed, surrounding your hookbait in a halo of attraction, which perfectly matches our Krill Active boilies. These hookbaits are suitable for heavy duty presentations, such as Chod or Hinge rigs, but can also be used on more delicate rigs too, such as the Ronnie or Multi rig. The Krill Active was formed in 2014, as a means to increase the attraction of the humble boilie during Sticky’s annual jaunts to Lac de St Cassien. It was kept under wraps for many years, with batches being rolled in secret until it was perfected and released as a product in 2020. Following its incredible impact over standard baits, we are delighted to introduce the new Krill Active Shelf Life, which undergoes the same processes as the freezer version. Utilising special machinery, liquids are pumped into the bait, which is then combined with powders to create a durable, yet super soluble and attractive paste wrap. Once submerged in water, this outer coating breaks down slowly, releasing levels of attraction that far surpass that of a standard boilie. Thanks to our use of pure liquids, with high natural salt content, our Krill Active Shelf Life boilies are as close to fresh as we can possibly make them, with minimal preservatives, while still retaining their useability and ease of storage with no need to freeze. They are the biggest step forward in off-the-shelf bait for decades!
