This hanging cheek snaffle has a French link for horses who do not like a nutcracker action.

A single joint gives a nutcracker action. The hanging cheeks can help encourage the horse to go forward in an outline.

The French link in this bit means pressure is applied to both sides of the tongue. Some horses with low palates may find this bit more comfortable as the mouthpiece should not contact the palate when the bit is in action.

This French link has small rings for horses and ponies with small faces. The fixed rings also prevent pinching.

The Korsteel JP Flexi Bits are made from hi-tech plastic which has been moulded around a core of stainless steel, so the durability of the bit is not compromised. The flexi mouthpiece is 'warmer' than a traditional stainless steel mouthpiece, which encourages acceptance of the bit. For this reason, the flexi mouthpiece is a good choice for younger horses and those with a sensitive mouth.

The eggbutt snaffle has fixed, oval shaped rings offering a consistent contact. Offers a lighter feel in the mouth for horses who are more sensitive. The single joint applies a nut cracker action which applies pressure to the tongue, the bars of the mouth and the horse's palate.

Sweet iron and copper encourages salivation and produces a pleasant taste in the horse's mouth. Raised copper ribs can help to prevent the horse taking too much of a hold. Three rings offer leverage options to increase severity.

The Waterford bit is composed of many different links making it hard for the horse to take a hold or lean. Waterford mouth bits should be used under supervision or by experienced riders. Mouthpiece thickness: 18mm. Cheek height: 65mm.

The Team Up is the ergonomically modernised French Link; a much more comfortable mouthpiece that promotes better performance all round. This lozenge is designed to share the tongue contact area with the adjacent loops to give a smoother feel over the tongue. The double joint allows more flexibility ensuring a clearer and more independent rein aid.

The bevel bit allows mild leverage and offers a little more control, promoting outline, head carriage and responsiveness. The loose brass alloy discs in the centre can help to soothe a fussy tongued horse.

The lifting effect at the front offers more control and precision making it good for jumping. The Waterford mouth should be worn 1/4 - 1/2 wider than standard to work effectively. Brass alloy assists with salivation. Mouthpiece thickness: 10.5mm. Cheek height: 135mm. Brass alloy mouth: Copper is alloyed with a harder metal to produce warm, durable mouthpieces which aid salivation. Stainless steel is used for the cheeks due to it being durable, easy to clean and resistance to rust.

This bit has full cheeks to help with steering and a mouthpiece made up of many different links to make it harder for the horse to pull or lean against it.
