The French link in this bit means pressure is applied to both sides of the tongue. Some horses with low palates may find this bit more comfortable as the mouthpiece should not contact the palate when the bit is in action.

This French link has small rings for horses and ponies with small faces. The fixed rings also prevent pinching.

The Turtle Top™ link shape takes inspiration from the shell of the Box turtle. This flattened dome shaped link lowers palate pressure and prevents the cannons from being pushed upwards above the link by the horse’s tongue.

If your horse is tentative into the contact (inconsistent), the NS Tranz Eggbutt offers the stability within the mouth needed to boost the horse’s confidence encouraging it to seek the bit, taking the rein forwards. Very beneficial for short tense necks and excellent for directional control. Unlike traditional Eggbutt designs, combining this NS cheek and NS Tranz mouthpiece, feel and response is not lost and the horse is far less likely to lean and fix against the hand.

The loose ring cheek can discourage fixing and leaning as it has much more movement than a fixed cheek to follow the angle of the tongue. The shaped lozenge offers even pressure and encourages mouthing and contact. Mouthpiece thickness: 15mm. Cheek height: 65mm.
