This is a traditional French link with a flat plate. It has small loose rings making it perfect for horses with small heads and those who require more movement in the bit.
This bit has full cheeks to help with steering and a mouthpiece made up of many different links to make it harder for the horse to pull or lean against it.
The French link in this bit means pressure is applied to both sides of the tongue. Some horses with low palates may find this bit more comfortable as it is unlikely to make contact with the palate when the bit comes in to action. The full cheeks assist with steering.
This full cheek jointed bit has keys (or players) which encourage the horse to mouth and accept the bit, they also act as a distraction for young horses getting used to a bit.
